Dream Duo: Autumn Nails With Essie
28.11.15
I have a confession to make to you all..I barely ever paint my nails - OOPS. Pretty much one hundred percent of the time my 'nails' probably don't even come under that category, they're more like stubs. Throughout my childhood I was always a nail biter, albeit I did break the habit in my early teens. But, the dreaded habit has come back with a vengeance and suddenly I don't even want to paint my nails anymore. My new years resolution of 2015 was to stop biting my nails and I think that, eleven months in, it's about time to start working on that resolution.
Essie has always been my favourite polish brand. The colour range is beautiful, the longevity is amazing - what's not to love? These two shades - Luxedo & Chinchilly, have been in my collection for the past year and I dont think I've worn anything else. When I get acrylic nails (which is very rare), I always take Chinchilly with me as my colour of choice, it's the perfect dark nude/greige shade and it's a fit all year round. Luxedo is a deep plum purple shade and is obviously much more fall appropriate. It's basically black, but in certain lights it has the most stunning reflect of plum and It's just gorgeous. I think that when it comes to nail polish, having a few versatile shades that you love can work an absolute treat; in my case, nudes, taupes, pastels and darks are my favourite picks. Essie polishes are priced at about £7 per polish and some may argue that this is expensive for such a small product, but for such great quality and colour range I'd pay that a hundred times over.
Do you like Essie polishes? What's your favourite shade?

When I've grown them I'll update the post but my little stubs aren't so aesthetically pleasing :(
DeleteI think I have about 30 Essie polishes, so yep, I'm definitely on board on the Essie train! Chinchilly might be the one nude color that I don't have but obviously need in my life ASAP ;)

DeleteOoh, these are such lovely shades! I'm a big nail polish fan, I don't feel dressed without having my nails painted. Saying that, I've only got one Essie polish in my collection but I like it.
