Cohorted Beauty Box | March16.3.16
With another month comes another beauty box, and this month's box of goodies comes from Cohorted. For a beauty lover like myself, there's nothing I love more than discovering and trying out new products. I find so many new discoveries through reading blogs, social media pages and general advertising; albeit there's still so much I'm yet to discover and beauty boxes allow me to do just that.
Cohorted beauty boxes* retail at £35.00 per month, this is higher up on the price scale when it comes to boxes like these, however the products featured in each monthly box are high end and beautiful. So if you're looking to try some bangin' beauty bits without having to fork out a fortune, look no further.
My standout product out of this month's box is theBalm's Nude Tude Eyeshadow Palette (£35.00), I believe this has featured in a previous Cohorted box but for me, I've never tried this palette and it's a great new addition to my collection. There's a range of shades suitable for day and night wear, however they do produce a bit of fallout when used so be wary of that; aside from that though, the pigmentation is beautiful and I love the packaging. Alongside the eyeshadow palette, you get a 3.7ml sample of theBalm's Eye Primer, I've actually had a chance to use it and it really smoothes out the lid surface for a flawless application.
The PIXI Crayon Combo in Supernatural (£14.50) is another product I was super excited to see when I opened the box; I've heard incredible reviews about PIXI beauty and I can't wait to try it. It's a double ended product which is designed to be used as either an eyeliner pencil or as an eyeshadow base; the darker side is matte too, so if used lightly I reckon it could double up as a brow pencil too!
Now I'm not much of a nail polish wearer at the moment as my nails truly are atrocious, I don't even think you can class them as nails - more like stubs. But, I'm making a conscious effort to grow them and once I do, the Nails Inc Polish in Cadogan Square (£9.00) will be first on my 'to wear' list. It's a stunning nude shade which to me looks identical to the MAC lipstick 'mocha', they'd be a beautiful combo.
Last but certainly not least in this month's box is the Bare Minerals Heavenly Face Brush (£14.00). This is probably my most unexpected favourite out of the box, the bristles are ridiculously soft and because of this, it works great with both powder and liquid products. I'll keep you updated on how I get on with this.
All in all I'm really impressed with the Cohorted beauty box. Unlike many monthly subscription boxes I've tried previously, I genuinely would use each and every product featured here rather than just stuff it in storage for me to rediscover in six months time.
So, what did you think of this month's box?
Love, Isabelle. xo
