My First Sephora Haul6.4.16
You all seriously have no idea how excited I am at being able to actually write this post. I finally got my shit together and made an order at Sephora, it's been a long time coming and I've had a ton of products on my wish list, but last week I decided it was time to take the plunge.
I was apprehensive about ordering from the USA due to the fact I knew I wanted to order some powder products, and the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfectors are notorious for their tendency to shatter. However, when I saw that shipping was only $6 when you spent $75+, I simply couldn't say no.
My original reasoning for actually wanting to order off of Sephora was for Kat Von D Beauty. I used to watch Kat on Miami Ink back in the day and she has been one of my beauty idols ever since, and her products caught my eye as soon as they came out. Lolita 2 is a beautiful rusty, brick red shade which I knew I needed after seeing swatches on Kat's Instagram, needless to say I'm in love with it. Similarly, I was also smitten with Bow N Arrow after seeing various YouTubers raving about it; this is probably my favourite liquid lipstick formula, they dry down to a beautiful matte finish and they're seriously indestructible, the lasting power is out of this world - AND they don't crumble, hurrah!
You'll probably know if you've been reading my blog for a while that I'm a total amateur when it comes to foundations, I just never buy them as I rarely wear the stuff. However, 2016 is the year of the foundation to me, and so I took full advantage and picked up the KVD Tattoo Lock It Foundation. Now, this foundation is seriously intense in the coverage department, but it feels surprisingly lightweight and I can't wait to put it to the test on a night out soon.
During my Sephora adventure I decided to pick up the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. Y'all know I'm ghostly pale, and anything that'll give my skin the life it requires is a winner in my book. I was initially worried that this would be a bit too orange toned for my skin, but I was so wrong; this gives the perfect amount of natural looking warmth to the skin with practically no skill or effort required - plus, it smells bloody beautiful.
Another product motivated by my paleness, how glorious: I managed to get my hands on the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in 'Pearl', a part of me wanted to jump on the bandwagon and pick up Champagne Pop, but when I checked out the swatches I just knew I'd have regretted it as I find gold highlighters look so wrong on my skin. Then I saw pearl and I knew she was the one. The great thing about this highlighter is that when applied with a fluffier brush it can give you that gorgeous subtle glow from within, yet it too can be built up to disco ball status. *Hannah Montana 'Best Of Both Worlds' comes to mind*
Last but definitely not least by any means, I got my hands on the original Beauty Blender. I've never actually owned one of these, though I find myself nabbing my sister's on a regular basis so I thought I'd finally buy one for myself. But I'm sure you all know that this is basically a magic sponge so I won't bore you with the details. But, in a nutshell, it's fab.
